My sister had her second child this past Wednesday, Sept. 24th. Her name is Ava Catherine and she weighed 7 lbs. 8 oz. and was 20 in. long. The same exact birth weight as Natalie! We are so excited that she is here and that Natalie has a little girl cousin to be best buds with from here on out.
Believe it or not, our baby girl Natalie is already 6 months old! Time has flown by! She is technically 6 months and 2 weeks today. She had her 6 month check-up last week. She weighs 14 lbs. 12 oz. (25th percentile) and is 27 in. long (90th percentile)- making her "long and lean"!
Everyone told us that 6 months is a great & fun age and it is SO very true. Natalie is discovering something new everyday and does the cutest things. She has been laughing out loud for quite awhile but everytime we got out the camera she would stop. So, as you can imagine, I was excited when I finally got a video of it last week.
She has also been sitting up for a few weeks but would topple over pretty quickly. Then, all of the sudden, last Friday she started doing so much better with it. Today she sat unassisted for 15 mins. without falling over!
On this past Saturday, we went out tailgating for the AU/LSU game. Natalie got so many compliments on her cute dress (that her Mimi got for her!). Our friends were nice enough to give me a ticket to the game and Ryan was SO SWEET to offer to take Natalie home for her last feeding, dinner, and bed so that I could enjoy the game. Too bad we lost. What a heartbreaker! But, it was still fun. I was hoarse and TIRED the next day. I'm not usually awake past 10 pm these days. :)
So, I set up this blog site for Ryan and I back in Dec. 2007 while I was pregnant with Natalie. Nine months have passed and I haven't done anything with it yet! Go figure! I do like to check out some of my friends' blogs though. I wish I could figure out how to get a super cute & fun page and how to add the list of my friends' blogs to my page.......... hhhmmm.....
I also need to add lots of cute pictures of Natalie. I have my work cut out for me and no real time to do any of this stuff. LOL.
I have been married to Ryan since Dec. 2001 and we have a beautiful daughter Natalie who was born in March 2008. We have wonderful family and friends both near and far. I work part-time as a speech therapist and Ryan is the owner/operator of a TCBY franchise. He is also a scuba instructor. We love to travel but don't get to as much as we did before Natalie arrived. She is so much fun & keeps us busy!
