Our Little Pink Flamingo

Natalie really enjoyed her first Halloween. We have made good friends with lots of other Moms and babies through a breastfeeding support group. We also have started having play dates at our houses and getting together for "Mom's Night Out" in addition to the weekly support group. We had a Halloween party today at the group and it was a big hit! Lots of good food and we even had two photographers there to snap pics of the babies in their costumes. Natalie was so adorable in her pink flamingo costume! She wore it for over an hour and didn't mind the head piece.

Dream Field Farms Pumpkin Patch

On Saturday, Natalie and I went to Dream Field Farms pumpkin patch with my Mom, sister (Amy), brother-in-law, nephew, and niece. It was a very nice fall day outside and we took a hayride out into a field of pumpkins. The hayride also included this "hee-haw" type music and as soon as it started playing Natalie popped up & starting bouncing around and blowing bubbles. She was being so cute and silly. I think quite a few people around us got a good laugh from it (inlcuding my Mom). The day ended on a somewhat tragic note when I realized I had locked my keys in my car and we were in the middle of nowhere! (Thank goodness my Mom had her car there too and has an extra carseat in it). Luckily I talked my little brother into going to my house in Auburn and getting my spare set and bringing them to me at my Mom's house the next day. I then had to get a ride back out to the middle of nowhere to pick up my car. Let's hope that doesn't happen again anytime soon.

Daddy's rocking chair

I couldn't resist posting this pic of Natalie sitting like a big girl in her Daddy's rocking chair from when he was a little boy. I think she is learning to smile for the camera! :) She is also sporting her cute Halloween pj's.

Congrats Zach & Kasey

We went to Fayetteville, GA this past weekend for Zach & Kasey's wedding. Ryan was one of Zach's groomsmen. They met through scuba diving and have been good friends for the past few years. We also have been lucky enough to stay at Kasey's family's beach house on more than one occasion! I was even able to convince my Mom to come along and help out with Natalie. She kept her at the hotel while we enjoyed the festivities! :)

Bath time

We finally "graduated" Natalie to the big tub. I was so hesitant to do it because I was worried about her slipping or somehow going under the water. But, she was getting way too big for the infant tub and was making a huge mess with all her splashing when we were still trying to bathe her in it at the kitchen sink. She loved her first time in the big bath tub!

Cousins

We took Natalie to meet her new cousin Ava. It was a really nice visit with my sister Amy & her family. My Mom was there too and she got some good pics of the cousins. Amy and I tried to do a little "photo shoot" with Natalie and Ava but boy it sure is hard to get a newborn and a 7 month old to look at the camera at the same time.

Here are some of the good ones:

Playing with her cousin Braden. She loved all the "big kid" toys.

Her first time in an outdoor swing! She was too mesmerized by the dogs to get too excited about the swing.

Loves to chew on her fingers!

Looking good!

I had to share with everyone how proud I am of Ryan. He has been dieting and exercising since June and has lost over 50 lbs! He is looking so good now (pretty hot, if you ask me!). He has worked very hard at it and has been very determined. I am so impressed. Here is a recent pic of Natalie with her "new & improved" Daddy:
